Cafe Program

The Cafe program is run by classroom and therapy staff, including Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists.

The program is designed to enable students to perform daily living skills with more independence, and teach a range of new and functional skills that would be needed within a café, home and school setting. The session begins and ends with all the students meeting together for group time. In this program, students learn about preparation, hygiene and maintenance of workstations within a cafe, sequencing, as well as occupations and roles (including the addition of the Maitre D and Cashier roles), and many more natural skills that are encountered in a regular café/restaurant setting.
