Sick Children at School

As you are all aware this time of the year there is an increase in illness, particularly coughs, colds and runny noses and gastroenteritis.

It is very important, if your child is sick, they are not brought to school until they are well rested and have recovered. In the case of vomiting or diarrhoea, students should not return to school for at least 48 hours after the symptoms have resolved.

These types of illnesses are easily ‘shared’ with the other children (many who are already compromised) and the staff, who are looking after and teaching your child.

Please think about others before sending an unwell child to school

Don’t hesitate to call the Nurses Office and speak to Zoe or Elise regarding your child’s health.
