Pathways Blackwood Outdoor Education Camp

Pathways students and staff had an enjoyable and event-filled excursion to Blackwood Outdoor Camp from Wednesday 30th August – Friday 1st Sept. On our journey there, we stopped off a Werribee Zoo enjoying the Safari Tour and a lovely stroll around the zoo. We then proceeded to camp and cooked up a bbq before going on a night-walk through Blackwood forest. On Thursday, we headed off early to the Inclusive Playspace at Victoria Park, Ballarat for morning tea before making our way to Sovereign Hill where we dug for gold, took part in some old-school bowling, and enjoyed the sights and sounds of Australian history. When we got back to camp, we had a rest before making our way to Blackwood Hotel for a lovely meal, topping off an exciting and enjoyable day out. On Friday, students took part in a low-ropes course, providing a great opportunity for them to challenge themselves beyond their comfort zones, and then as a treat on the way home, we stopped off a Macca's for a well-deserved feed. A great trip all-round!!!
